My experience with the breathalyzer and the officer who took the test has really made me wonder if all the people paying dearly for DUI in Washington really warrant it.
I was stopped for speeding, next thing i knew i was being asked to take field sobriety tests, which i passed. When i took the BAC test on the road, the result was not showed to me, but when they gave me my copy of the test at the station it showed a BAC level of 0.067 and 0.071. Anyway, this led to me being booked for DUI, my vehicle was towed, spent 12 hours in jail, missed work that day and then summoned to court the other day where I was told the charge was filed in error and was being dismissed with prejudice. Note, to appear before the court, again i had to miss work for a period of time. This whole scenario has really made me unhappy with the officers mandated to uphold the law.
I feel washington state is taking alcohol related incidences too far.
